December Movies

    

Media has been the center of teenage life, and a form of media is movies. I totally encourage spending time outside, but in the middle of winter, it doesn't hurt to watch a few movies here and there while snuggling with your pets.

Now, I admit I'm not a fan of Christmas movies. I love Christmas, just have yet to watch a good, enjoyable Christmas movie. Despite that, here are 5 movies for the month of December that I feel capture the meaning of Christmas. The meaning of Christmas which is: FAMILY, FRIENDS, and LOVE.

1. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)

This movie has the Rock, and I think that just about checks every box on any teens Should-I-Watch-This-Movie-List. An incredible comedy/action movie that is all about bravery and FRIENDS. 

2. Tron (2010)

A little hard to follow when you first watch it, but an incredible movie about the techie future that has been predicted to come soon enough. This movie is full of action, and a wonderful watch about FAMILY.

3. Psych: The Movie

By far the most hilarious movie I've ever seen. Before you watch this movie I recommend watching the TV series, Psych. This movie (and TV show) is about an immature 28 year old (Shawn Spencer) who pretends to be a psychic, and solves crimes for the Santa Barbara Police Department with his best friend, Burton Guster. This movie and TV show is all about FRIENDS and LOVE, and sure has a lot of humor mixed in.

4. Scooby Doo TV

I grew up watching Scooby Doo and fell in love immediately. This crime solving gang, always manages to catch the bad guys, and they do so hilariously. This classic mystery show is all about FRIENDS, and is a good way to pass the time.

5. Home Alone

Okay, I was wrong, I do like a Christmas movie. This movie makes me laugh every time I watch it, and is about a boy left Home Alone for the holidays by accident. It is full of witty thwarts he performs to keep two thieves from breaking into his FAMILY house, and is a must watch. 

Whether Family, Friendship, or Love, Christmas is a holiday to enjoy with everyone. Merry Christmas!
