Let us all just take a second to pretend it's still December and that I'm not a month late posting this book review... After all, there's no rules against talking about a book you can read in December... as long as you pretend its still December!
Can I be honest with you all... I do know that it's no longer December. Yeah, hardy-har-har, but I just wanted to make sure that you knew I hadn't lost my mind just yet. I mean, I'm writing my Book of the Month post for December at the end of January. I haven't gone crazy and forgotten what month it is; I've simply been swamped with school!
I'm in need of a good book more than anything right now, which, is why I've finally gotten around to using my weekend for something super fun: writing blog posts about my favorite hobby (reading)!
THIS MONTH'S BOOK: Left Behind by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins
Genre: Christian Fiction, Apocalyptic Fiction (now doesn't that sound exciting)
Published: 1995
About: Before I tell you what this amazing book is about, let me just start by saying it is not "necessarily" a romance book. Yes, people fall in love, but it's the end of the world... if that makes it any better. Back to summarizing this awesome book, its important to know that this book brings to life the craziest, best, and most confusing book of the Bible: Revelations. It depicts what would happen when God came back for his people and what would happen to those who were left on Earth to live during the Anti-Christ's reign. Sounds good, right!? But don't let me spoil it! You have to read it for yourself.
SETTING:
ANYWHERE! I want you to take this book to heart and read it anywhere and everywhere that you get the chance. Don't wait until you can sit at home in front of the fireplace or on the couch (I know firsthand that life can be hectic), so take whatever time you have to read this book.
I loved it, and I pray you will too.
Happy reads everyone!
I'd love to hear in the comments what you thought of this book! (If you're reading this from your email, click the title above to visit the Montana Teen Life website and comment on posts.)
I hope you had a fantastic December, are having a wonderful January, and will have a beautiful February!
