June Movies

"WE MISS YOU LIKE POPCORN MISSES BUTTER"... now, imagine that lettering arrangement where the movie theater once advertised their latest viewings. Only, just a few days ago, the movie theatre opened back up... and took that sign down!

After a few long months, the movie theaters are finally back open and playing new releases... but with soooo many new movies coming out, it's hard to decide what you want to watch! I used my weekend to find some of the movies I'm most anticipating the release of... and that I think you should watch too!

1. Black Widow
Release Date: July 9th, 2021
Come on, this movie had to have been on some of your "To Watch Lists"... even more so when the release date just kept changing! July 9th is less than a month away and this Marvel movie that has been anticipated since [SPOILER ALERT] Natasha Romanoff's death in Endgame, will bring almost every Marvel fan to the theaters this July!

2. Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
Release Date: August 19, 2021
Don't kill me when I say I like Star Trek better than Star Wars... okay I'm probably doomed, but let me set something right... that doesn't mean that I don't love the AMAZING Star Wars movies... all it means, is that I believe Star Trek is EVEN BETTER! August 19th is only a little more than 2 months away, so if you haven't already, WATCH STAR TREK so that you can WATCH THE NEW RELEASE!

3. Ghostbusters: Afterlife
Release Date: November 11, 2021
Let the ghost hunting begin! *Cue Ghostbusters Theme Music* Ever seen the original Ghostbusters? It may be a little (or a lot) corny but the Ghostbusters were not forgotten. Now imagine those original Ghostbusters had kids, and their kids had kids... LET THE GHOST HUNTING BEGIN!

4. Top Gun: Maverick
Release Date: November 19, 2021
The famous Maverick is back! It's crazy to think that Top Gun was released May 16, 1986. Nearly 40 years ago, and yet, that movie was one of the best. For some, the sequel was probably new heard of and yet here it is nearly 40 years after it's first release in 1986! If you've never seen Top Gun, think: fighter jets, action, and romance all bundled in one movie.... Wanna watch it now?

5. Mission: Impossible 7
Release Date: May 27, 2022
Okay... yes.... 2022 is not this year, but I couldn't help myself! I just had to put this on my list! Sure, there are plenty of other movies that are coming out this year and could be on this list, but please don't tell me I'm the only one ecstatic about the release of this movie! (Wait, I know better than to think that...) I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE! LET THE ACTION COMMENCE!

Let me Know in the Comments What Movies you Plan to Watch in Theaters this Year!

Have a SUPER, FANTASTIC week!

  1. Ok, yes, everyone will want to see Black Widow and if you don't want to, you should return to the cave you have been living in. Star Trek is good, but there must be like 97 of them and how many times can kirk save the day, again.
Ghostbuster #1 was funny, well, maybe it was 20 years ago but the other ones were not. Sometimes you have to let things just die. The chances of success are low, i bet.
If you like Tom Cruise maybe Top Gun will be ok. Cant someone please dream up something new here.
MI, on the other hand, has been great after great. Yes, we will probably have to watch Tom Cruise again, but the action is always great.
Are the movies even open yet. Stupid covid. We will see what the summer brings.
