Reading Resolutions

I'm not one to normally make resolutions, however, reading resolutions aren't that hard to make. So I put together a list of books I plan to read this year. With one book a week, I'll be able to read 52 books, but I'll keep my list shorter in case it takes me longer than a week to read a book.
So, without further ado, here are my Reading Resolutions for this New Year! For each book I want to read the most, I'll let you know the reason I want to read it, and what it's about!

1. Keeper of The Lost Cities: Unlocked (Book 8.5)
Author: Shannon Messanger
Genre: Fantasy Fiction

2-11. Shatter Me (Books 1-10)
Author: Tehereh Mafi
Genre: Romance, Science Fiction

12. The Inheritance Games
Author: Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Genre: Fiction, Mystery
About: When a girl inherits almost everything a man she never knew had, including his mansion, she works on figuring out why. Only, there's a twist. This man loves his games, so in order for her to earn what he is giving her, she must live in his house with his family (who inherited nothing) for a period of time before she gets anything.
Reason: My library teacher seemed overly excited about this book arriving at our school library. I can't wait to read it and see how good it is!

13. Five Feet Apart
Authors: Rachael Lippincott, Tobias Iaconis, Mikki Daughtry
Genre: Fiction, Romance

14. Maximum ride
Author: James Patterson
Genre: Science Fiction, Thriller

15. Paper Towns
Author: John Green
Genre: Fiction, Mystery

16. Unwind
Author: Neal Shusterman
Genre: Dystopian, Adventure Fiction, Thriller
About: In a town, unwanted teens get sent away to be Unwound, or in other words, have their body harvested. For a young boy, and two others, they don't want it to happen. On the way to be Unwound, they escape, and end up on the run.
Reason: While book roaming (searching the library catalog for fun) I found this book. It has an interesting cover (check), and an interesting story (check)!

17. Divided We Fall
Author: Trent Reedy
Genre: Fiction

18. Ready Player One
Author: Ernest Cline
Genre: Science Fiction, Dystopian

19. Monument 14
Author: Emmy Lybourne
Genre: Action, Adventure, Thriller, Fiction
About: This story takes place in Monument, Colorado, where 14 teens find themselves trapped in a superstore as storms and chemicals rage outside. The chemical leaks aren't normal, and they don't make a human exposed to them normal either.
Reason: Book roaming on the internet never lets me down. It's a great way to pass time, and I run across books that sound interesting. Much like this one.

20. The Fill-In Boyfriend
Author: Kasie West
Genre: Fiction, Romance

21. A Walk to Remember
Author: Nicholas Sparks
Genre: Romance, Drama

22. Ink and Ashes
Author: Valynne E. Maetani
Genre: Fiction Mystery

23. Love, Life, and the List
Author: Kasie West
Genre: Romance, Fiction
About: Seventeen-year-old art enthusiast, Abby, finds herself in a predicament where she has fallen in love with her best friend, Cooper. Her art has been pushed over because it has "No Heart", so when she gets another chance to show off her art, she won't let it escape her grasp again. And in order to give her art a deeper meaning, she creates a list of things to do in one month that will give her the experience to create movement in her art.
Reason: A friend of mine introduced me to Kasie West's romance novels, and I haven't been able to put them down since.

24. Lucky in Love
Author: Kasie West
Genre: Romance, Fiction

25. To All the Boys I've Loved Before
Author: Jenny Han
Genre: Romantic Comedy, Drama

26. Just One Day
Author: Gayle Forman
Genre: Romance, Fiction

27. Ashes, Ashes
Author: Jo Treggiari
Genre: Science Fiction, Dystopian
About: Now that the end of the world has passed, Lucy finds herself alone and trying to stay alive. When she is saved by a stranger (Aidan) from a pack of dogs, she realizes being alone is not her best option. After joining his group of survivors, Lucy begins to be sought after. She isn't who she thought she was, and is special enough that she is being tracked down in this post-crisis world.
Reason: I started reading this book a while ago, but never finished. I remember the beginning being good, and as soon as I find a place to get this book (a book which all Libraries seem to have no idea exists) I will start to read it again.

28. What I Thought Was True
Author: Huntley Fitzpatrick
Genre: Romance, Fiction

29. The Boy Most Likely To
Author: Huntley Fitzpatrick
Genre: Romance, Fiction

30. City of Bones
Author: Cassandra Clare
Genre: Fantasy, Adventure, Fiction

Of course, I have many more books on my list to read, but I figured I'd make my life a little easier and only put 30 books on my list.... for now. Have a GREAT year!
