Saturday Cartoons

Growing up, I loved watching cartoons, and nothing is better than watching cartoons on Saturday morning. Since it is the middle of winter and the middle of the school year, I know I'm not the only teenager that sleeps in on the weekends. So, Saturday morning cartoons end up turning into Saturday early afternoon cartoons, but they still are the best part of Saturday. So, I put together a list of my 5 favorite cartoons from when I was young, that I think no matter how old you are, you NEED to watch.

1. Road Runner
I always loved watching this cartoon with my Grandpa. It was so enjoyable every time the Roadrunner happened to get away from the Coyote, and every time the Coyote tried something else to catch the Roadrunner and failed. I remember laughing every time. In present day times, the Roadrunner is much like The Flash, and that makes this show much funnier.

2. Cat in the Hat
Still a very well know Dr. Seuss book, but there is also a cartoon. I used to watch this when I was younger, and I admit, it may not be the best cartoon out there, but it was one that I watched growing up. Even if you are a teen, this show has a lot of corny humor. If your the type that likes corny humor (like me) this is still a great show.

3. Winnie the Pooh
A show most teens are aware of, and in my opinion, a very cute adorable watch. I loved Winnie the Pooh growing up, because he had the best friends in the world. A while ago, there was also a Live Action Winnie the Pooh movie, that I enjoyed and I believe is a MUST watch for teens too.

4. Scooby Doo
Probably the cartoon I watched the most, and can still recount a lot of episodes to this day. The part I loved most about this TV show, was I felt smarter than Fred, Velma, Daphne, Shaggy, and Scooby because they always split up, and even young me knew that wasn't the best option.

5. Tom and Jerry
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this cartoon even to this day. Tom the Cat and Jerry the Mouse are always in the most enjoyable chase scenes. My favorite episode to this day is "Tee for Two" when Tom the Cat goes golfing. Tom's dislike for golf mirrors that of my own.

Now is the perfect time to plan next weekend's cartoon marathon. Just remember: It's okay to sleep in! Let me know in the comments your favorite cartoons from when you were growing up, and have a GREAT rest of your week!
