Book of the Month: November

With November come little skiffs of snow on the ground, hot chocolate (with marshmallows, of course), cookies in the oven, time cuddling by the fireplace, ski-trips, and extravagant sledding adventures (that leave you with snow in the craziest of places).

Don't get me wrong, sledding is by far one of my favorite winter activities. My family and I once went to this crazy steep sledding hill where the snow was about a foot or two deep! It was crazy and a whole lot of fun because it was so fluffy (and yes, I do believe snow can be defined as fluffy). Of course, with sledding comes everyone's least favorite part: walking back up the hill. If you're some sort of inventor/genius who knows the answer to that problem, I would gladly invest in your solution!

Back to the topic at hand, once the sledding for the day is completed, I can attest to the fact that the fireplace is the only thing you're probably thinking about. So when you get a chance to sit by the fire, entertain yourself with a good book, and you'll be all set for the rest of the day.

THIS MONTH'S BOOK: Danger in the Shadows by Dee Henderson
Genre: Romance, Suspence, Christian Fiction
Published: 1999
About: Am I choosing yet another romance book...? Yes, I am. Don't judge though, because I have a feeling most of you will love this book just as much as I did. Even if you don't "love" this book, I think you're gonna think it's a pretty good read too.

SETTING:
I know I should probably save sitting by the fireplace until December's Book of the Month, but I can't help myself. It hasn't snowed enough yet that I'm craving the fireplace, but if I really wanted to sit by the fireplace at night, I could just step outside for a minute or too and then I'd probably find myself in front of the fireplace in no time. See how that works? :)

For a read by the fireplace, I suggest a cup of hot chocolate (although a cool drink could extend your time by the fire), a pillow (to make things even more comfortable), and a book (of course).

It wouldn't even hurt to invite some friends over just to have a fun Read-to-your-Hearts-Content-by-the-Fire-Get-Together. Yes, that was a long name, but it was totally fun to write it all out :)

Happy reads everyone!
